@matrix Despite Rosetta having ~75% the performance of native, the chip itself has adaptations to make it run x86-like instructions efficiently. TBH it's the best thing Apple has done since Jobs passed away.

@matrix there is some impressive progress with recompilers in the emulation spheres. hard part with that one is when programs start writing new code in memory and running it (DRM, JITs) since you have to watch for attempts to jump in to this new space and re-compile that to the other CPU.

Assuming that's all you were doing that's not too bad.
