I mean, the real answer here is that fossil fuels themselves aren't a product of human-caused animal suffering. It's not like you're filling up your gas tank with the piss from a distended bladder of a factory cow. It's coming from organisms that died naturally while our ancestors were still like 40cm tall and living in trees.

There are downstream effects since ICE vehicles produce CO2, so there are still objections, but it's not the standard vegan objective of animal suffering.
