@Philoxenus @matrix it's the UK so everywhere is left wing. But this place is slight centrist so there are actual businesses here. That even pay for my university which is nice.
My home city is probably most accurate comparable to Portland. North West, everyone is a commie, corrupt left wing government and antifa riots. Now I'm in the middle area of the country which is really boring and nothing happens. But atleast I have a good job

@matrix Happiest years of my life were in the early days, when I rented a shitty apartment in a bad neighborhood and worked a shitty minimum wage job to finance it. I had just enough to pay my bills and the freedom to do any damn thing I wanted after my shift was over.

@matrix I had to move to a city 3 hours away because my shit hole left wing city had absolutely no jobs. So unfortunately I am living alone and eating canned sardines for dinner
