@matrix

I have a friend who's 19 year old son is going thru "women scorned" shit. She slept with him and regrets it...so assault. 🤬There needs to be legal recourse for Men wrongly accused. The kid is "under investigation" and my not get to deploy in the Army now....

@Zennblack @matrix these cases are awful but boys need strong fathers who need to teach them you can't give women the wrong expectations. women don't just regret sex unless you're dumping her after you promised her you'd never leave her

@ew @matrix

That is life. Women should maybe not play the game then. No one would get divorced if that were true. I get your point though. Men don't view sex the same way we do. I think? 😁

@Zennblack @matrix the game has just changed and things are more complex now. it used to be you could meet a partner and everything would be hunky dory
@cowanon @Zennblack @matrix and there's dancing involved, oh and the office next door wants to interview you as well while offering you a competitive salary

@ew @matrix @cowanon I am going on year 21 of marriage. Pretty good but not always easy! 😘

@Zennblack 21 years ago there was probably still a point to marriage. Nowadays it fails a risk-reward ratio report. @ew @matrix

@cowanon

No. I think it has been that way for a long time. I got lucky. My mom was right! Should have married a rich guy! Lol. Once you realize no one is perfect and figure out what you can live with, the rest is easy. Good luck figuring that out though! 👍❤

@Zennblack I'm not sure any one of the 99.9% can really afford dating, let alone most other "normal" activities like going out to eat or to the movies, without it being a significant financial drain or even being priced out of a deal... :0171:

@cowanon

🤣if they just stopped buying Starbucks every day...

@ew @Zennblack > you just don't do those things
Precisely. :ablobsigh: When it co$ts half a week's pay for a low chance of getting laid, and much more for an even lower chance of a healthy relationship... yeah, it makes more sense in that case to throw money at an e-thot on lonelyfans for fake affection.
@cowanon @Zennblack if you're a cook and can host a home date you can do so (but a "certain type of woman" will refuse/ disagree, because to her showing off to her girlfriends / peers is more important than actual quality of the food). There's a youtuber Joshua Weissman (he's Jewish but.. it's good in this case bacause the Jews are notorious all over the world for being cheapskates as opposed to mindlessly spending money or resources) he made a video of how to make a home date that is like 5x cheaper than the alternative at a restaruant...

If you're not a cook then just say you're a poor orphan you would prefer walking in a park and watching birds together.

https://invidious.namazso.eu/watch?v=zU9OP776xcE

also, some of these ideas are free or cheap (the list is not exhaustive if you can come up with some better idea than you should, and should implement it):

https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Guide_to_Social_Activity/Dating_ideas

all or most of the ideas... either demand time (which is a valuable resource) or actually knowing the woman and her likes and dislikes (which is not applicable because, tbh, some women have better looks / bodies than good personalities worth studying).
@heroinchic @Zennblack Sounds like some good ideas but,
> getting a girl to agree to a "home date" without looking like a complete loser
Good luck! You'll need it!! @ew

@cowanon

We used to go to outdoor keggers in my day. Lol. As we got older, we moved to live music in bars and clubs. Now we have outdoor gatherings and there is no keg. Everyone brings wine and talks about their latest medical issues.
We are too old to stay up for live music. 🤣

@cowanon @Zennblack also btw this guy (Joshua Weissman) is the reason I'm drinking cold brew coffee constantly, I've never bought it nor even heard about it, until I've learned it on his video. Virtually no Russians (my country) ever bought it. He's also his videos taught me to cook ginger ale, which I also really admire.

I'm not really a relationship expert by any stretch... but I would try to find some light-green color haired insane vegan who, because she's vegan, can't really eat out. I myself am a very picky eater, but if, theoretically, the tables were reversed I would _far_ prefer a girl buy me avocado+tuna and then we can mash and eat it togteher.

I'm really obsessed with food though, and at the same time forbid myself like half of the ingredients other people eat (I eat everything vegans eat + fish + poultry, milk and chicken eggs), if a girl offered me money and/or healthy food and/or ground coffee I would feel extremely grateful. But if she invited me to a restaraunt (even if she pays or if we split a bill), I would have tor refuse out of principle and then I guess cryout of not having any food.
@heroinchic @Zennblack I used to make "cold brew" by filling a mason jar with half cheap coffee grounds, half water, then leaving it in the fridge overnight. The cheap stuff because IME there's no difference between cold brewing the cheap grounds and good coffee beans.

I've worked in a few restaurants and delis, and the ingredients are horrible. I've done a lot of reading up on processed foods and so on and almost everything outside the produce section and single-ingredient items like oatmeal and chicken breast are "forbidden". It makes staying away from nutritional garbage a huge pain in the ass. I say this from years of experience.
@cowanon @Zennblack all the recipes (including Weissman's) say to not use a pre-ground coffee, but it's B. S. i came to the conclusion that pre-ground is stronger, and tastes better.

to me both the taste and the fact that the heart doesn't ache (or aches a lot less) are the 2 pro's.... Which is why I never use coffee that I myself ground from store bought coffee beans, because I tried it three times (with the same brand) and it's a lot weaker, _and_ it makes my heart hurt like 2x times more. Last time i did it (because I have a lot of it stored and i ran out of good coffee) it was a week from hell, and I was extremely physically glad that it was over.

IME (I've been doing this for 1 year and I constantly drink coffee...) teh cold brew that was on a counter for 16 hours is so much stronger than the one done in a fridge for 24 hours, that it's ridiculous. Subjectively, I felt like it's 3x stronger. But, it's improbable. No way to accurately measure it anyway. It's also has a stronger taste than one brewed in a bridge but it might be a "con" not a "pro"

I do it an a 2 litter plastic bottle. (-: that way there's mmore contentrate and therefore the end result is much colder and it's the third "pro" that I forgot to mention.

I disagree (quite hard) that there is no difference between different brands of coffee if you cold brew them. There absolutely is a difference, although it's less noticeable than with hot, but I very much notice it. Luckily for me though, the coffee brand that I enjoy the most, tastes 2x cheaper than the second best tasting one... and approx. the same as that extremely bad one that gives me heart ache.

What's your opinion on canned fish and canned seaweed? I eat it all the time and really love it, but, it may be not perfect for health. Also what's your opinion on dark chocolate - are the sugar levels prohibitive enough, so I must buy cocoa powder instead?

here I go giving unsolicited advice again, but: have you considered getting a girlfriend who worked in a restaraunt or (even better) a fast food chain? She knows the same information about the cooking process (I don't even want to _think_ about it) and the ingredients, that you know.
@heroinchic @Zennblack > coffee
I nod and smile, lacking any meaningful reply. :agummythumbsup:

> canned fish
Eh... I guess if the fish is from a can lacking BPAs it's probably okay but not as good as wild-caught. But wild-caught (NOT farm-raised!) salmon is very expensive so if it's either canned fish or deep-fried filets, then choose canned! :smileAkko:

> canned seaweed
I don't think I've ever seen that around here? :shrug_g1:

> dark chocolate
As long as the ingredients list are minimal.. but no chocolate is darker (and more nutritious) than cacao beans that you grind yourself with pure stevia or pure monkfruit. Excellent in plain, fat-free Greek yogurt and oatmeal!

> have you considered getting a girlfriend
I can't afford a girlfriend. :mariasad: One from a restaurant would be good if she understood that she's surrounded by slow poison in the form of burgers and fries, instead of making her crave it all the harder (like I've mostly seen IME). But even then, even the average guy looks like dog diarrhea to the average woman. :0540:
@cowanon @Zennblack yep mos tof the seaweed is sold here in either plastic or similar bags, not cans... Nevermind the seaweed then... What I worry most about in canned fish is the fact that it's preccessed (and therefore shouldn't I avoid it the same way I avoid processed meat?), the fact that it has sunflower oil and salt... salt is the least problem i just use other condiments and spices instead of it to not overcomnsum soidum. But sunflower oil bothers me... is it only bad when used in frying, or is it always bad?

If i can eat canned fish and any seaweed and not worry about long-term health consequences, that improves my "sanity meter" a lot.

I can't afford a girlfriend either, but I think that money (or lack thereof) is the least f my problems, but lack of "desire to think" and lack of responsibility are by far my worse problem that don't really lower the quality of my life, _but_ make me bad in the eyes of most girls. they want a serious and responsible male and I'm the farthest thing from it.

A lot of them stereotype me as a "nerd" or an "intelleactual" or whatever without even letting me speak first. But those that do let me speak don't respect my careless attitude t/w life. Whatever fuck them it's their loss!!!!

I think that my ideal woman, my type would be a fashion model - she looks nice, most importantly is thin, and she doesn't "break my brain" with irrelevant stories about her job that I don't care about. Needless to say I can't afford a fashion model as they seem to prefer rich people who can spoil them. I'm not a millionaire I'm a "starving student" (at least the way I percieve myself most times in a typical day, even though I'm... whatever my age is, and too old to be a literal student), it's quite a predicament.
@heroinchic @Zennblack > What I worry most about in canned fish is the fact that it's preccessed (and therefore shouldn't I avoid it the same way I avoid processed meat?),
Yep, definitely something to worry about. Not as bad as "Healthy Choice" brand garbage with 30 ingredients that you can't pronounce, though. And if you can get wild caught fish instead, so much the better.

> the fact that it has sunflower oil and salt
Probably not so bad (except for the salt, as almost everyone consumes way too much) but eh, probably best to avoid canned stuff not only because the can lining contain stuff like BPAs (I forget what those are now but I remember it's nasty and leeches into the food) it's more expensive because of the convenience.

> If i can eat canned fish and any seaweed and not worry about long-term health consequences, that improves my "sanity meter" a lot.
It's PROBABLY not a big deal IMO, compared to the much worse stuff out there all over grocery store shelves and (worse) in restaurants.

> they want a serious and responsible male and I'm the farthest thing from it.
Sounds like me as well! :0010:

> A lot of them stereotype me as a "nerd" or an "intelleactual" or whatever without even letting me speak first. But those that do let me speak don't respect my careless attitude t/w life
I'm not sure what they see me as, except the "strong, silent type"?

> I think that my ideal woman, my type would be a fashion model - she looks nice, most importantly is thin, and she doesn't "break my brain" with irrelevant stories about her job that I don't care about.
Just be careful as such women are very high-maintenance, extremely insecure with appearance and appearances (hers and any man she's with), and expect (as you say) the millionaire's treatment!
@Zennblack the thing is, though, that most of the time i don't really see myself as a nerd, or as "above average intelligence", or anything. If someone asked me to list my top 10 qualities, being a nerd wouldn't be on that list.

It's just a stereotype at best and a death-threat/ offensive slur at worst. More so, if the women use it, b/c I don't know how it is in the West, but the way it seems to me to be in Russia they're a protected class, sacred cows not to be attacked. Which means they can verbally abuse me all day long and i will have to put up with it. With my lost honor.

how do I see myself? very briefly, the way I want to dress / project my image is a taugh professional killer in a nice suit (pictured)

if someone asked me to describe in a word the way I (want to) dress, it's: "edgy"

women are a death threat already as it is, but quite some of them use it to be even more death-threatening / offensive.

when a woman calls me "nerd", or calls me anything whatsoever that I don't like, that means: "I'm a woman and I will verbally abuse you all day long and you will never do anything to me but to suffer and take it."

Hope they get raped by a bunch of niggers/ Caucasians.

But I also hope male ethnic Russians are genocided, they don't deserve to live or to procreate.

@heroinchic

Same in the west. The more "protected" class, race or sexuality you are, the more you are offended.

@Zennblack this is the opposite of what I said. (-: I'm actually one of the nicest individuals in the world, would never offend anyone unless _they_ offend me repeatedly and likely not even then. it's the women offend me not the other way around.. I need to become a pimp or a serial killer or something, certainly have all the emotions needed lol
