How do you make a game so bad that it immediately causes GPUs to trip their OverCurrent and then proceed to blow a fuse.

I think Amazon's game is attempting to pull more than the card can chew, meaning the card is protecting itself by blowing a fuse or OC protect itself.
These cards are already known to be super fickle about their power delivery system.
I don't believe it's entirely Amazon's fault. Card manufacturers were known to cheap out on power delivery, so it wouldn't surprise me if EVGA has some sort of shoddy power delivery.
