@matrix I never played any Bethesda games except for their dreadful interpretations of Fallout 3. If I were to play Skyrim, which version is the best version?

@rasterman @matrix >best version of Skyrim

That would be Morrowind with infinite view, vegetation/grass and Quality of Life mods

@Jackuu @rasterman @matrix Is there cool shit for Daggerfall in Unity? Something about those dungeons and their remote locations created this forlorn, desolate quality others never matched for me. I also realize that I need to play Arx Fatalis.
@Jackuu @matrix I thought that was a different game, judging from the meme. I hope we're not talking about modding. Last time I modded a Bethesda product, I was unable to finish it because of bugs that refused to be contained.

@rasterman @matrix it is a different game, but it was kind of a joke I was making. Morrowind is the third entry in the elder scrolls series. Skyrim is number five. Morrowind was a fantastic fluke of RPG brilliance while Skyrim is well…skyrim.

As for modding, you have to keep it simple. People insist on having these massive mod packs with hundreds of mods and it’s inevitable you’re going to have problems. With Morrowind you can get away with infinite view and the unofficial code patch. Everything else is optional but it’s really important that you be able to see further than 30 m out because the draw distance in base Morrowind is atrocious because it’s a 2002 title

@matrix The reason why there's been no new elder scrolls game is because they'd have to make it in the redguard's area of the world and Todd is too based to allow that
