Well that's to be expected, not even the 3090 can do 8k. Nvidia's marketing was quite misleading because they used dlss for that claim. I guess maybe the 4090 is gonna be able to

I mean don't get me wrong, with some games I can do 4k, but most of the time I need to downscale a bit. But geez. The 3090 benches like 1-3% faster, hardly worth it, considering I got that from an overclock.

I'm not sure about the 3080 Ti but the 3090 was probably made purely for marketing, because almost nobody has 8k displays, it costed a ton, it can't even do 8k that well and it's useless for work because the drivers are locked and it draws too much power.
@matrix My understanding is that its good for certain rendering workloads and that's about it.
