So I got a Retroid Pocket 2 because I fucking hate using the phone's touchpad to play retro games and adding one of those snap-in joysticks is for kids and wizards.

So far the experience has been a mixed bag, going from:

"Neat! I can emulate anything up to a PSP in this thing"

to

"Configuring this think is a major pain in the ass and I bet I'll invest +100 ours just to make the frontend work"

So now I loaded RetroArch and decided to fuck all and play some N64 games at 25 FPS. I mean, I don't regret getting one of these but I got way more fun and ease-of-use from a modded PSP. Honestly. Unless you get pleasure from tinkering with some chinese piece of plastic, get a PSP or a Vita.

@Pepito I believe most of these retro handhelds are kinda trash and the best device for handheld emulation is the GPD XD Plus (you can get Android 11 on it with LineageOS) or a PS Vita like you mention.
The GPD XP looks cool too.
