Just deduped about 6 days worth of media uploads (11.4k new files) and saved 14.2 GB of disk space.
XFS is a wonderful filesystem! Silicone Graphics was way ahead of their time.

@MischievousTomato @sjw @nonetrix XFS is faster for gigantic drives and slower for smaller ones if I remember correctly.
I'm not sure about smaller drives being slower. HAven't ever heard of that. but i can imagine it being faster for big ones because of it being "64bit"

one of the things I remember being nicer about XFS is parallelism.
You can get close to what BTRFS has (snapshots and subvolume stuff) if you put XFS under a LVM.

I hear that BTRFS compression makes it faster on systems with slow disks and fast CPU/RAM
yeah, the compression helps massively on HDDs, and even SSDs (less wear)
