Yeah, I can’t take out a tank or a fighter jet with my AR-15, but I can shoot the soldier that has to get out of the vehicle to get it from me. The solution there is insurgency and guerilla tactics, which time and again have been shown to work against government militaries even with heavy weapons. (Vietnam, Afghanistan, etc)

It takes a police force with boots on the ground, not a military, to maintain control of the population, and even with a large police force we still outnumber them 50 to 1. They can’t win in a gunfight with an armed local populace.

Yes, but this is about self-preservation, and in the (still very unlikely) scenario where people have to die to keep our guns from being taken away, people are gonna die.

@dave You’re going to call me insane again, but the kind of fedposting I do does legitimately scare leftists when they hear/read it, because the scenarios I’m making up are the kind of scenarios they want to put me in, and you in. They want to put us in these scenarios where they can administratively render us second class citizens and therefore being told to their face that someone with a gun might construe that as some kind of law enforcement and/or self defense situation that merits direct use of force terrifies them.

They much prefer to deal with moderates who will, when push comes to shove, just take it. If they can’t have that, they want people who will lash out irrationally, so they can be suppressed mercilessly. They do not want to deal with people who will stick up for themselves but won’t start RaHoWa out of the blue. That’s the category of person they legitimately fear most, because they have a point, and the best argument that can be made against them are “well I disagree with their methods.”

A lot of them view guns as a bad thing not because of school shootings or whatever, they view them as an obstacle to getting rid of those they deem as enemies, since said "enemies" are generally better armed than them. They're the kind of people that would have reported Kulaks to Stalin, and they essentially want to do the same thing here.

I think there's something to hoplophobia- these faggots cannot think outside of an enviornment where their opponent is free to act only with regard to thermodynamic constraints. Not once did they have a rebuttal for me when I suggested taking control of the hose, or shutting the water in the building off- they have no real conception of "war" as much as they do a fetish for "police action" (everyone follows the rules, and if they don't we just MAKE THEM!)
