@Telvannichad @Eiregoat @Elfie @Julia @matrix The older 40k source books have a distinctly more Metal aesthetic to them. More in terms of Judas Rockin' Priest than the various iterations of space paladins that have become common in the last few decades.

This is just one of the casualties of that cultural shift. I hear that the Doomrider isn't even in the codices anymore.

@Elfie @matrix @Julia I'm always a bit peeved when I see women in the imperial guard, they'd be pretty useless against orks for example, for a brutally practical Imperium that spends lives like ammo leaving the women at home to make more fodder would be the wiser choice? I can understand having female inquisitors, psykers, tech priests, sisters or rogue trader but not Imperial Guard or Commissar.
