@matrix@gameliberty.club The British Empire and colonialism/imperialism in general is pretty wretched and terrible. Regardless of rhetoric, the soldiers fighting in WW2 (be they aware of it or not) were fighting predominantly against a geopolitical threat to the global hegemony of their states. What came from it was, in some respects, worse, with the United States inheriting the empires of old and installing an evolved form of global control via neocolonialism AKA neoliberal capitalism.
