@a7 @matrix I run into this problem all the fucking time with dumbass end users

@r000t @a7 @matrix

Apparently, ~15% of people have <85 IQ, which would mean ~15% of people can't understand hypothetical conditionals. I find that hard to believe.

Pretty sure anon was exaggerating, or remembered the numbers wrong.

@taylan @matrix @a7 I find that incredibly easy to believe. This wouldn't exactly be debilitating; someone in that state could absolutely still live a standard american life.

@matrix dammit.. i seem to have lost the part about hypothetical conditionals
@newt @WhiteTemplar @matrix And this one and that one and well just about half of them have an IQ below 85 which used to be the cutoff.

@newt I think that's just a reference to this greentext

@matrix According to a criminal complaint, Smith allegedly slugged the straphanger in the head out of nowhere while the victim was waiting for a No. 4 train — then shoved him onto the subway tracks.

Smith claimed self-defense to authorities {snip}

“Is it looking bad for me?” Smith allegedly asked cops of the case, according to the complaint. “My thing is, he said something to me inappropriate first. I was defending myself. Can I just say one thing before I get inside? I was defending myself.

“Why am I in trouble? Why are you doing this? I don’t have a record,” he said. “Am I getting booked for this? I did push him.”

Smith, who lives in Williamsburg, was previously arrested Oct. 6 for allegedly snatching a 51-year-old woman’s keys and injuring her hand {snip}
