@sjw People who have never been to a shithole country, and people who have.

I visited Egypt once, nice to visit, not a good place to live in, and it shows.
A country with so few resources, about one tenth the area of the US, and a population of over 100 million and counting.
Welfare policies aren't helping either (they never do).
The Suez cannel, and the Aswan hydro electric dam are the two things holding that country afloat.

@succucirno @sjw That's a huge problem too.
It's already affecting Sudan that is down stream of the Nile.
With Egypt pumping more water, Sudan has less.
Relations have soured as a result.

It played a major part in the breaking up of Sudan and South Sudan if memory serves, with South Sudan having even less water.
But I wasn't following too close, so take that last part with a pinch of salt.
