I’m genuinely curious how many people still game on a 32-bit machine. I see so many games bending over backwards to continue supporting them but I can’t imagine it’s worth it

Like 32-bit machines I feel were old by the mid-2000’s and the only 32-bit anything still being produced past 2011 were mobile phones. I get libraries and other software supporting it. Some people run very old hardware and don’t really have a choice to upgrade, but like how many of those machines can realistically be running modern games?

@VD15 Imo blame Windows, 32-bit Windows installed on a 64-bit machine was common well into 2010s

@matrix Tbf, I only recently found out that the servers for one of the games I'm complaining about was running on w*ndows server 2012. A.k.a. enterprise w*ndows 8.0 with the dodgy start menu and everything. They only moved because it was going out of support.
