@Wormwood nigga get some new talking points
1.Unrelated scraps of paper and editorial notes were written by the pen, not the diary.
2.Water reservoir intended for fire fighting built in a camp not used for extermination.
3.The higher number published in 1948 in The World Almanac and Book of Facts is an unsourced estimate claiming to be of the 1939 population, when actually it's nicked from various almanacs dated 1937 and earlier.
@TizzoHeavy @Wormwood
1. It's scanned at https://annefrankmanuscripten.org (I needed a vpn in Belgium to access it though) and The Diary of Anne Frank: The Revised Critical Edition includes a forensic examination and photos of both Anne Frank's handwriting and the ballpoint pen writing.
2. You mean this one? yes, that's Auschwitz I. The extermination camp was Birkenau
3. I'm not aware, however, they probably just copy pre-war numbers like the Almanac or use the pre-war numbers as a basis for extrapolation. The death toll of the Holocaust wasn't immediately known.
2. Which camp, is there a modern picture of the location? I bet you could even find on Google Earth or something, or maybe there is some article you could link?
3. Don't multiple sources and numerous organizations besides these two publications list an equal or higher number for multiple years after the war?
