I don't want to sound like a weeaboo, but Japanese rice is just better compared to what you find at the supermarket and is worth paying the extra.
@matrix i keep some koshihikari rice from niigata around to serve with real nice meals. calrose is a p good daily driver though, they import it to japan from california
