@matrix on the contary, i think we're doing just fine. maybe CCP and their export-driven economy will be fucked, but that's ok. Less kids means less responsibility, and more resources for that only one kid, imagine that, when that kid grow up he/she would have everything that the grandparents(4 people) and parents (2 people) had, which is normally a lot, and they probably won't have to work like dogs everyday like we do.
@fyw321 yeah, the one child policy was a disastrous decision and the CCP deserves to die, but an aging population is going to increase the demand for slaves, not decrease.
@matrix anyway one man or one thousand can't do anything about that, we can only go with the flow and hope for the best. future people will have their solution.
@matrix decades ago back in 70s, CCP used to thought one kid is enough even too much, and enfoced such restriction in the 80s. they have only canceled the one-child-only restriction a few years ago and started to encourage people to have more kids for more cheap labour. we're just don't want to give them what they want anymore.
and i think the children of our generation have every right to just ditch us when we're old and leave us on our own. i believe that's a acceptable price if it could end this slaveworker-like society
