Why do people even use Kodi? Isn't it just a proxy for other piracy sites? They're always requiring annoying to perform updates and breaking everything, they've always done it.

@Coomer @popko it (usually) makes it easier to stream on tablets and firesticks and it's breddy good for organizing and playing your legal media all in one spot, like if you have a big collection of movies and music or something (idk anyone who uses it for that)

i mean, you can play back basically any media on any device you own. It even does slideshows for picture libraries.

@tn5421 @Coomer @popko i'm gonna look into it for my firestick but i'm stuck with kodi and whatever addon i can get to work for this other guy's tablet, he's too dumb to learn anything else. I'm always removing Yahoo malware from this guy's business computers but he's literally too dumb to stop using Yahoo.

@tn5421 @Coomer @popko yeah there's a fire tv app so i'm going to give it a try, for sure it will be less janky than kodi + a bunch of addons that require constant maintenance and separate updates.
