I got an email for a package being unable to be delivered and wanting to confirm my address. It also wants a shipping and handling fee to be paid online. The address for the email seems fishy as does the page for paying the fee so I'm not gonna trust it. Also the tracking number doesn't match for the only thing I've got on order.

The only thing I'm waiting on does have a service that so far has tracked my package as far as Richmond BC but ATM says in transit. I'm just wondering how a scammer might have figured out I have a package on route?

Seems weird to me. Any time I have had to pay fees online for packages I simply received an email telling me to go to the courier website to pay there. That was with DHL. With FedEx they had me pay at the door on delivery but sent an email about the fees in advance. Neither provided a link to pay with.

Yeah, the whole thing seemed fishy to me and I checked the actual tracking number again and it says in transit.
