When I was younger I was very pro-free-speech, then around age 20 or so I became woke. Then I got cancelled and it snapped me out of it. It turned my whole world upside down.

There’s no guarantee of free-speech in the US except from our government. (even that has restrictions) You aren’t guaranteed free speech on internet platforms, nor are you shielded from the effects of what you have said. Was there a certain statement that got you cancelled or was it a number of things?
@nothingplanet Basically I agree with the radical feminist viewpoint that women face unique challenges on the basis of their sex, not gender identity.
Most people don’t ‘have’ a ‘gender identity’.
For the vast & overwhelming majority of people, gender is a social construct. A set of norms societally imposed on women & men by others. Not an inherent ‘identity’, but an externally imposed (assigned, if you will) set of behavioural rules.
Gender constructs are built on sexist myths.
Gender norms impact on both women & men, but in general, they are far more damaging to women than men.

Indeed. These are very different things.
Men who identify as women and who are sexually attracted to women claim to be lesbians. Including when they have a male anatomy.
They don’t understand the distinction between the two terms either.

Sexual orientation and gender identity are fundamentally different things.
Sexual orientation is who you’re sexually attracted to.
Gender identity is what gender you believe yourself to be.
So no. It’s not fair to confuse the two at all.
