@alex Have you considered making ads or promos for it?
@realcaseyrollins Yeah. I think it needs to have the message "Everyone is here" even if they aren't.
@alex Haha.
You can always pander to the political heads tho.
Far left: Aren't you tired of the harassment and microagressions?
Far right: Aren't you tired of being censored and banned?
@alex But, it could be a good thing that not everybody's on the #Fediverse. I don't think all the instances would be able to handle it.
@realcaseyrollins This has been attempted before and never works. Kiwi Farms was mostly MATI people and it's down to a handful of it's thousand registered users. I think dickshow.social finally died. Probably other examples too. @alex @leo
@shampoobottle @alex @leo I do suppose that this model could be a problem if all of new content is created off of the #Fediverse platform, though. Everyone will be talking about something outside the platform, and there's no organic draw to the platform itself.
The #Fediverse is like #CBSAllAccess; it needs quality original content to set itself apart from the rest.
@alex What would probably be best of people with sizeable online communities make their own instances where they can talk with their audience. Even if they're political, it will draw their normie users to the platform.
I think @leo is doing something like this, but he's the only one I've seen.
