After tonight, no question, lethal force to stop looting is ethical.
@realcaseyrollins agreed. I just hope you also agree with me that driving APCs through quiet neighbourhoods launching smoke bombs at people on their front porches is an act of government tyranny.
@coldacid Of course. Everybody has a right to be on their own private property.

@realcaseyrollins
To be fair, you would need to start with #JeromePowell.
@EMPEROR @kakol
@realcaseyrollins @salvvaje @sim story gets weirder though - he wasnt the owner - just some random dude with a machete who says its his favorite bar. Police dont really buy the story - hes still under investigation.
@realcaseyrollins @salvvaje @sim the story not being believable and running at people with a machette
@realcaseyrollins @salvvaje @sim so you go to your favorite pub by yourself in the middle of a riot to protect it with a machete while having 0 communication with the owners?
@sim @realcaseyrollins @salvvaje im thinking people were like ‘dude what are you gonna do with that machette’ then beat the fuck out of him
@sim @realcaseyrollins @salvvaje i mean - i think he was beat for simply having a machete is my guess, some one asked wtf is that for, he said something -
now here is the part we have witnesses and partial video of: they tossed some shit at him as he was walking away according to reports - if hes protecting that bar - why is he ‘walking away’ - and then he turns around and runs at them with a machete.
@realcaseyrollins @salvvaje @sim i dunno maybe he just really really likes that bar but my brain is more thinking >fuck the police are coming - uhh uhh shit FUCK y-ya that bar behind me i was protecting that totally they will buy that FAVORITE BAR’
@sim @realcaseyrollins I was thinking opportunistic violence of some sort - he had urges or a specific somebody and he felt riot was good cover.
@sim
Ohhhh yeah now that I remember it I saw him tweeting and telling people he was okay.
Graphic (broken bones, possible murder)
@realcaseyrollins You pointed out earlier you though most of the people being violent were white... I dont see that in this video btw
Graphic (broken bones, possible murder)
@freemo
Yeah it's definitely a case by case basis. From what I've seen, there have been more white people than black people committing the violence, but I can't see everything.
Graphic (broken bones, possible murder)
@realcaseyrollins There is a huge narrative right now of "white guy evil" and "white people are causing all the violence". As such there is a lot of people intentionally sharing video to demonstrate that (and I've seen a lot of such video). But I think that's really skewing it.
When I look at random live feeds however of various events of violence it is pretty consistently 90% black with only a few exceptions.
Though again, not imply that blacks are more violent people. It just is the expected demographics given this is inner city protest with a majority BLM members.

@freemo
Yeah. #California specifically had a lot of white rioters.
I'm trying to be even in the clips I post too, there are bad people and good people on both sides and all races.
Graphic (broken bones, possible murder)
@realcaseyrollins yea exactly.. all the rioters are evil people and if you catch white rioters on video or lack rioters largely just depends on if your in a white town or black town... San francisco is probably mostly whites and maybe some mexicans (hard to tell as mexicans arent necessarily easy to identify by skin color).
Its just whatever the demographics of the area is.
Graphic (broken bones, possible murder)
@realcaseyrollins @freemo There is a big mix from what I've seen. ... It's a very diverse mob
Graphic (broken bones, possible murder)
Because they're not just looting; they're brutally beating and attempting to murder storeowners.
