I increasingly see narratives of white vs black, christian vs muslim, west vs outsider as consciously deployed divide and rule tactics to subdue and distract domestic populations by the managerial media class. I also really hate the "X is just a distraction from Y" narrative because it's so overdone, but I do think this is true here.
