Well I learned this from experience, if you go to the Developer Tools and stream a live video, if you keep the Network Tools pane up you should be able to find the m3u8 URL that has the actual streaming file for the video. You can then use that to stream the video in VLC yourself and bypass any analytics or unpleasantness the website might have to offer.

It's cool cuz in VLC you can "channel flip" if you put the different stream URLs together into a playlist!
