@realcaseyrollins Trump is awful. no reason to support him at this point
@realcaseyrollins ok, outside of being an accelerationist or racist.
@realcaseyrollins I don't care what he thinks personally honestly, I care about his actions.

Most racists support him.

Yeah, same, that's why I'm voting for him.

Not much I can do about that lol

@realcaseyrollins most racists support him because of his policies.

I'm curious - what policies of his do you like?
@mewmew @realcaseyrollins I like cheeto man because he is funny and he says china

@igel @mewmew bad reasons to vote for someone tbh

if you thats what you like about him, hire him to do a comedy show

@mewmew

Well, there's immigration, supreme court picks, building up the military, lowering taxes, supporting peace, law & order, his efforts in prison reform, his unprecedented efforts to pull troops back home from overseas and not starting any further conflicts (low bar, but one more recent presidents have not reached)...there's more but that's all I can think of off the top of my head.

it's not like he's perfect, but he's doing a dang good job.

@realcaseyrollins I fail to see how Trump's inability to work together with others is a good thing.

@mewmew Inability to work together? Yes, that's certainly an issue, but not one that pertains to us finally breaking away from the .

@mewmew @realcaseyrollins working together shouldn't be the end goal, the end goal should be forwarding your agenda. If working together is the best way to do it, then so be it.
@realcaseyrollins his immigration policies are pretty bad and a waste of time and money.

did you watch the Kavanaugh hearings?

building up the military is a waste of money.

the benefits of his lower-taxes mainly go to the ultra-rich, while driving us into a deeper deficit.

he hasn't supported "peace" or "law & order" in any actually meaningful way.

he entered the government back into contracts with private prisons. that's the opposite direction that we need to be going.

you may have a point with bringing troops home, but I doubt Trump is the only one to do that.

@mewmew

> his immigration policies are pretty bad

How are they bad?

> waste of time and money.

Why?

> building up the military is a waste of money.

> the benefits of his lower-taxes mainly go to the ultra-rich

Define "rich", because these "rich" people I've seen who are benefiting from the tax cuts are actually middle class people like me, and people even poorer than I.

> he hasn't supported "peace" or "law & order" in any actually meaningful way.

False, see here:

> he entered the government back into contracts with private prisons. that's the opposite direction that we need to be going.

Fair. I'm referring to his pardons of largely black people who were serving extremely long sentences for non-violent drug charges.

> you may have a point with bringing troops home, but I doubt Trump is the only one to do that.

He's definitely not, but neither Obama nor Bush have tried this hard to get our troops home.

@realcaseyrollins @mewmew why do Americans talk so much about this stuff. Just go vote while knowing that the heat death of the universe is unavoidable
@realcaseyrollins his immigration policies divided families and children.

besides, as a country, we should generally not have strict immigration policies. they're not beneficial and they're unamerican.

military spending is a waste of money, we spend far more than Russia, China, etc. we're not fighting WWIII here. we could use that money for many better things.

the people who benefit from his tax cuts mainly are the rich. you might temporarily benefit, but not nearly as much.

condemning violence is a very low bar here. he's also said things such as "when the looting starts, the shooting starts".

opposing defunding the police is not a good thing. the police are far too big and money should be redirected to other causes.

the federal officers who are in Portland are not there with the consent of the local government. I can't arrest people just because they're looting my house. the troops there are just making things worse, they aren't solving anything.

if he has made those pardons, I don't have a problem with that.

and I agree with you on Obama and Bush not doing enough - but Trump was in a much easier position.
@mewmew @realcaseyrollins
what do you do with the children when a family is found committing a crime together? also, not his creation, but there are no good answers.

Why shouldn't you have strict immigration policies? And how is it unamerican? america has never been completely one way or the other, its always adjusted to the times and its needs, and right now i think america could use less immigration.

military spending is always necessary because there are always enemies, how much spending is the key issue.

the middle and lower class will never benefit as much as the rich in anything. stop thinking of it as a zero sum game and worry about your own wallet. how much are you affected by the tax cuts?

aint nothing wrong with self-defense. if someone comes after my property, they made the choice to put their life at risk. they are neither entitled to my property nor should i be obligated to hand it over to prevent further violence.

fund the police! how can people complain that they dont get enough or proper training while also saying give them less resources??? and the police def isn't too big. its too big when there is a cop outside my house and one is sitting at the dinner table with me. being hyperbolic obv, but no, the police isn't too big right now.

why can't you arrest people who are looting your house? hell, if they are looting your house, it should be your right to shoot them.
@Locksmith @realcaseyrollins
> Why shouldn't you have strict immigration policies? And how is it unamerican? america has never been completely one way or the other, its always adjusted to the times and its needs, and right now i think america could use less immigration.

We're a country founded due to immigration and we don't need less immigration.

> military spending is always necessary because there are always enemies, how much spending is the key issue.

Yes, and we are spending far too much.

> the middle and lower class will never benefit as much as the rich in anything. stop thinking of it as a zero sum game and worry about your own wallet. how much are you affected by the tax cuts?

That's not the only consideration. Money doesn't come out of nowhere. We should be raising taxes to cover more public services such as healthcare.

you are not the government. the government should be held to higher standards than you are.

> fund the police! how can people complain that they dont get enough or proper training while also saying give them less resources??? and the police def isn't too big. its too big when there is a cop outside my house and one is sitting at the dinner table with me. being hyperbolic obv, but no, the police isn't too big right now.

why do you want to live in a police state?
@mewmew @realcaseyrollins a country founded on something doesn't mean that thing needs to always exist in the same or increased capacity forever and ever, eternally. Immigration was necessary then to build the nation "America" because there were literally NONE of them there before. Seeing as how there are quite a bit of Americans there now, I would say that they should only be taking as much as they need, a bit more if they are feeling generous.
@Locksmith @mewmew @realcaseyrollins Germany wasn't founded. We just kinda existed and then we killed Romans and then eachother and eachother and the French and eachother and then uuuh
@mewmew @realcaseyrollins
Money doesn't come out of nowhere of course, but more taxes discourages growth. increase it and watch the businesses move out of the states or shrivel up and die. you need to find a way to work with the businesses to find a way to increase tax revenue while also making it one of, if not the best, places to operate.

i don't want to live in a police state. i also don't want to live in a lawless country where the literal only option is self defense.
@mewmew @realcaseyrollins
the kavanaugh hearings is evidence for why the left should be locked out of power for another decade lol.

Is that your metric for if the tax cuts are good? If it mostly goes to the rich? How about how much does it help the middle and Lower class? I agree he needs to balance the fucking budget though.

How has he not supported peace or law and order? He hasn’t sparked a war and he’s trying to pull the troops out and he has more respect for the military than almost anyone on the left.

Don’t know much about the private prisons but they probably need to go.
@Locksmith @realcaseyrollins
> the kavanaugh hearings is evidence for why the left should be locked out of power for another decade lol.

we shouldn't question people we put on the highest court?

> Is that your metric for if the tax cuts are good? If it mostly goes to the rich? How about how much does it help the middle and Lower class? I agree he needs to balance the fucking budget though.

not exactly. tax cuts are usually bad, but especially when they benefit the ultra-wealthy.

> he has more respect for the military than almost anyone on the left

that's not a good thing

> Don’t know much about the private prisons but they probably need to go.

well too bad, because Trump doesn't support it
@mewmew @realcaseyrollins
question them over what? 40 year old allegations with no proof? sure you can question them, but i don't know how much you are going to get unless they confess other than smearing their name.

tax cuts are usually bad how? and why is it bad when it benefits the ultra wealthy? everything benefits the ultra-wealthy short of death and complete confiscation.

how is respect for the military not a good thing what???? 🤡

the private prisons is the smallest thing for me though because i don't know enough about them, which is why i said probably. its possible there is a good case to keep them or even increase them.
@realcaseyrollins @mewmew Supreme Court is fucked but his picks are pretty much guaranteed to be better than the left’s
@realcaseyrollins @mewmew I dunno, lotta racists supporting Biden too, it’s just the racism everyone is okay with.

@Locksmith @mewmew Mm IDK, it's widely known that is a closeted anti-black racist, with a history of associating with the , making racist statements and supporting policies that destroyed the black family structure, sending it into generational cycles of poverty.

@realcaseyrollins @Locksmith I think we have different definitions of "widely known" here.

Trump was endorsed by David Duke, a former Klan leader. He said there were good people in Charlottesville "on both sides".

Biden's support of certain crime policies were indeed awful and did do what you suggested - but they were bipartisan actions - framing it as things that only Biden did were deceptive. They were wrong, and we know that now - which is why Biden is now against them.

@mewmew @realcaseyrollins @Locksmith We both know when Trump made the statement “on both sides” he said that after very specifically damning the nazi’s and was referring only to the regular people on both political sides.

@mewmew @Locksmith @realcaseyrollins Yes, but the leftist definition of “alt right” includes almost everyone who isn’t also a leftist. They had a rally, all sorts of people showed up. Some were racist and there was violence, and Trump condemned them.

@shebang @Locksmith @realcaseyrollins no, it doesn't. the rally was to support keeping monuments of traitors around. there was no one good there.
@mewmew @shebang @Locksmith @realcaseyrollins why didn't we just kill everyone in the south since they were traitors. We just made up with them. Clearly there was some kind of thought process in doing that. I wonder what it was.
@Moon @Locksmith @realcaseyrollins @shebang "after WWII why didn't we kill all the Germans? this is why we put up Hitler statues in Poland"
@mewmew @Locksmith @realcaseyrollins @shebang I think you may be missing the salient point that it was a civil war.
@Moon @Locksmith @realcaseyrollins @shebang so?

putting up statues of losers 50 years after the war happened has nothing to do with making up with them.

maybe we should, y'know, make up with the people who were enslaved by taking down statues of people who fought for them to be enslaved?
@mewmew @Locksmith @realcaseyrollins @shebang Why make up with them? I'm calling out your "loser" shit. They were losers.
@Moon @Locksmith @realcaseyrollins @shebang yeah? sore losers. who can't admit that they, and their awful ideas, lost.
@mewmew @Moon @Locksmith @realcaseyrollins @shebang A good chunk of Native Americans actually did fight on the side of the Confederacy and some of them were slaveowners.
@mewmew @ArdanianRight @Moon @realcaseyrollins @shebang u fuckin what? they were all innocent angels and racist america killed them!
@ArdanianRight Aye, and some native Americans refused to give their freed slaves citizenship which is why we have the 14th Amendment.

Isn't neoliberalism wonderful? Politics has now become a Capture The Flag with two teams who take turns winning and losing. The actual material living conditions for the players though? Only continues getting worse.
