@jojo @realcaseyrollins i know you're new to this linux thing so there's alot to take in

the way i see it you have two choices at the moment:
1. either use a lighter ubuntu flavor (xubuntu, lubuntu)
2. activate zswap, a way to compress RAM, but setting it up is a bit involved

@cell @jojo Linux mint is light too, as is Puppy Linux (which i have found to be the lightest)

There are plenty of distros that work of very minimal hardware

@jojo @cell I use it every once in awhile! I have experimented with like ten different distros at least, and have a flash drive with about five or so (two of which are privacy-centric) in case I get a new computer or Windows dies on this laptop for some reason
