Do you know how to read/write cursive writing?

My school taught me cursive writing from first to third grade. We had a Penmanship subject every Friday, and I believe every school in my country was mandated to have it before the Liberal curriculum reform? (it's not that important of a skill nowadays anyway) @Grandtheftautism

@vetharvester i learned it in elementary school as well. I think it's still important though, because there's so many old documents like census docs, maps, deeds of title, and historical docs like the Declaration of Independence that are written in cursive, on top of personal things like Great Grandpa's war letters, etc., that would be completely inaccessible to the common man if the skill is lost. Plus it looks cool when people take their time and don't rush.

@Grandtheftautism @vetharvester I learned no cursive only italics with connected letters. It was an obvious regression apparent even to me as kindergartener.
@TopRound @vetharvester that's interesting, i didn't know they did that!

It's so strange to me that something that everyone used to know how to do is turning into a job skill. My wife has a friend who writes wedding invitations mostly in Palmer Method cursive (though occasionally she gets a calligraphy order). I can see not WANTING to fill out 150 invitations by hand but apparently most of her clients are UNABLE to do this. Seens like most of them still know how to read it, according to her.
