why do people leave children in cars in the summer time?

If the ac is on yes, they're probably fine but do you want your kid to be snatched up? Jesus they're not items.

If you see a kid in a car, smash the window, you (probably) aren't going to get in trouble for it.

Parents don't want to be embarrassed by their screaming children and nobody trusts baby-sitters anymore.

@xianc78 can't blame them for not trusting people but it's not a huge deal to attend to your child. They generally fuss for a reason.

Every child deserve parents but not every person deserves to be a parent.

@rok0 If I ever have kids, I would only take them to grocery stores that don't sell toys or any other kid stuff so they won't start screaming if they see something they can't have. This won't guarantee that they won't start fits, but it helps.

I also heard about parents getting kicked out of stores because their kids are too loud. I guess that might be another reason why they leave their kids in cars. It's still not an excuse though.

@xianc78 I disagree, you shouldn't avoid that. It's a lesson that you don't get a toy every time that you go out. There's no reward for participating in everyday life.

the ultimate answer to the question I asked is that there are people who do not want to take the initiative and parent (verb) their children.
