If we ever get to the point where we'll have to fragment the Internet by having to manage switching DNS servers (or well, play with the host file), I wonder how trivial it would be to have a browser plug-in to switch DNS servers in browser, maybe even it being tab only, to access certain websites

Although at that point, I'm sure ISP will also be quick to block stuff if we ever got to that point

@coolboymew You might be interested in this. All you need to do is change your DNS settings and you get access to sites you can't access with ICANN DNS providers.

@xianc78 right I remember this. But does this contain piracy sites? I think we're going to have to manage multiple of these in the future

@coolboymew Not that I know of. They have a .pirate TLD. I'm pretty sure there would be more piracy sites using OpenNIC domains if it becomes popular. You can also use any ICANN domain if you use an OpenNIC server.
