A lot of Japanese developers are getting fed up with Sony's censorship policies. Gal Gun remaster and Uppers are not on Sony's platforms for example. It wouldn't surprise me if Japan starts to finally embrace PC gaming in a couple of years because of all this.
@xianc78 @Shining @Rosamonde @coolboymew They can just go to Nintendo, the Switch is dominating Japan like few consoles ever have, while the PS4 is fucking dead in the water hardware sales-wise.
@ChristiJunior @Rosamonde @Shining @coolboymew I think some of them still want to take advantage of powerful hardware. There appears to be more Japanese third-parties on Switch, but I think that's because the Vita is dead and the Switch is basically its spiritual successor as strange as it may be.
@xianc78 @Rosamonde @ChristiJunior @coolboymew Given the recent shift Sega has had (say what you will about them, they're a software juggernaut) towards remastering and porting a lot of their titles to PC, I think it stands to reason that the likes of them, Square Enix and a few others releasing cross platform will be enough to coax the Japanese into the PC market
