@vix Around 2004 my views started solidifying around politics that could be considered center-left by European standards, and far-left by US standards. I was never a big fan of feminism, political correctness or Islam, but I accepted and sometimes even embraced most other fashionable leftist beliefs. The Left at the time generally seemed smarter, more fact-based and more fun-loving than the Right. Obama's presidency did shake my faith a bit (leftist support for his mass surveillance program and the Libya war disgusted me), but it really was #GamerGate that started my shift to the Right:
To see the entire MSM and all the progressive media outright LIE their asses off to push an agenda, to see that the media and progressives could literally create an alternate reality and seemingly get all the Normies to swallow it, over time that definitely caused me to re-examine a lot of my previously-held beliefs and things I'd been taught. From around 2015 the Left also REALLY started radicalizing (or at least, I became aware of it) and the emergence of Trump, a populist Rightwinger without a lot of the pro-war, interventionist baggage that had caused me to hate the likes of McCain and Romney, really started to intrigue me. And then in 2016 the media and the Left just completely lost its mind in response to Trump, so I left them completely behind and started exploring ideas further and further to the Right, for the first time ever with an open mind.
And now I'm basically somewhere between Ann Coulter and Andrew Anglin politically, lol.

@rasterman @ChristiJunior @vix I got into Gamergate back in September 2015 ( you can blame C+= and Github for that ) after watching Jim's 5-videos combo on the Quinnspiracy....from then on it changed my life, my views, and introduced me to people who changed my worldview.

A friend showed me a bunch of screenshots of computer-related pages filled with BLM banners. It's reassuring to know it wouldn't be a hate crime if I beat the shit out of whomever put that there, knowing it's probably a white cuck with no balls.
