@coolboymew All those Earthbound/Mother fanatics praise the homesickness mechanic saying how it felt relatable. I always hated it. I don't know how homesickness would distract you from someone trying to kill you.

That's another problem. There aren't enough inventory slots even with the Escargo Express. And the only item I remember that relieves homesickness were the eggs and that was only temporary.
I think Earthbound as a whole is overrated tbh. I think there are much more RPGs out there that deserve that kind of praise.
@xianc78 I dunno, I usually never end up using the escargo express other than to store the bike, store some story item and get it back at the whatever darkness. Otherwise I just start eating shit when I need to make inventory space
