What's with the trend of people hating their own group/fanbase or something? I very often see this about Gamers and Anime fans "The content is fine but fuck the fanbase", why don't you fuck off if you don't like it? Would do everyone a favor. Hell, I see that within certain websites users too

@coolboymew I think people start hating on the fanbases if said fanbase is filled with those who are autistically obsessed with the work/franchise. Fan-fiction, rule-34, etc can ruin it for people.
I think the best thing to do is just ignore the fanbase and enjoy a work/franchise on its own merit.
