Nah, its probably some half-assed attempt at killing off the wrongthinkers. I don't know why they would throw away their pawns when they can still be used.

@CommonSay @Ricotta @xianc78 or just getting rid of old people. Maybe China just wanted to purge the people they didn’t want to take care of any more and though this would just look like a bad flu season, before things go out of control.
