@rasterman @n8 Well, you might as well argue that cutting the umbilical cord violates the NAP.

@xianc78 @n8 Now, that's a low effort troll, but I have nothing better to do, apparently: Both are non-consensual, so you might, indeed, argue that. Is that the argument? Otherwise, how do you equate a procedure that's a part of childbirth to a post-birth genital mutilation practise?

@rasterman @n8 Well you got me there. I will say that up until 1999 circumcision was recommended for medical reasons. It might be the same as giving vaccinations to infants.

But now that it's no longer recommended it's a NAP violation. However, being ethnically jewish doesn't violate the NAP.

@xianc78 @n8 I'm guessing you mean in the USA. I have heard of the occasional botched circumcision causing life-long issues; and I know a guy who had to get one as an adult for a medical reason, so that's not out of the question that it might have a benefit in some cases. I would like to see what the reasons were to recommend circumcisions to the general population. One might have a case for female genital mutilation, as well, if enough pilpul is applied. No, of course being ethnically Jewish doesn't; but following the comic's logic, being religiously Jewish does at least support violating the NAP or the practitioner violates the NAP himself assuming he's the mohel.
