For the past three weeks in the entire US there hasn't been one single positive identification of flu, for three whole weeks. Not a single one reported by the CDC.
I hope people realize how little sense this makes.

Like my basic point is we have done nothing that should have eradicated the flu to this degree, this suddenly, this unexpectedly, no one talking about it

@neo I don't see anyone washing their hands more often, and read my other post itt about masks and lockdowns. The science is fairly certain cloth and surgical masks don't protect against COVID anyway

@neo the science is fairly settled, go back to the 1918 Spanish Flu and see what people said about masks during that pandemic anytime before 2019, the science has always been clear that a cloth mask will lead to more disease than it helps, and no, it doesn't protect against the flu
@xianc78 @neo They really are a totally different country, and I was always under the impression some Chinese for example uselessly wore them for pollution reasons. From what I heard it doesn't help against that and I was always told by doctors that wearing masks for a long time or reusing them is well-known to cause illness, even by nurses who are the ones getting ill if they don't change them often enough.
