Reminder that forest fires have been on the decline since 1980. This graph is a few years outdated, but I have a good feeling that it's still the case.
@xianc78 number of fires is meaningless. The large jump around 1980 could be due to a change in methodology. Number of acres burned would be a much more robust dataset.
