buying a chromebook but running haiku on it 
@icedquinn I still can't find a computer where I can run Haiku natively. Not like I can use it as a daily driver anyway.

@icedquinn I just want to one day be able to use Haiku as a daily driver. It's really comfy and unlike Linux, it actually has potential as a desktop OS.
@xianc78 i dunno why it would and linux wouldn't. nothing stops you from using APIs modeled after Be on unices.

@icedquinn The Haiku team says that they solely intend it to be for end-users (no plans for a server or embedded edition or anything like that). It's also entirely developed in house instead of being a bunch of programs developed by different teams that are duct-taped together. I don't think an end-user OS should be modular like Linux because it can create confusion when it comes to different distros, DEs, etc.
@xianc78 it would be pretty based if it ran on a plan 9 kernel
