I'm just bantering, but faced with shit like this how can anyone still be catholic if they don't actually believe it? It's not that different of an insult to the faithful from ye olde indulgences.

@Jens_Rasmussen The Pope has not issued an infallible statement in a long time now. Everyone misunderstands what Papal Infallibility actually is. It's not "Whatever the Pope says is right".
The Pope has to issue an explicit statement saying something is and always has been true. The last time that happened was when Pius XI issued the Immaculate Conception of Mary, which I think was in 1959.
At this point I ignore everything the Pope says lol
