@Bro-Drillard @Moon All the popular uses for it seem to have been replaced
* Java applets - Replaced by JavaScript
* Indie game development - Mostly done in C#, Lua, and JS now
* Android app development - Kotlin seems to be replacing it even though it still uses JVM
* Web server stuff - I hardly ever see a .JSP extension on the web anymore
there is still a _ton_ of java out in backend systems that nobody knows about or cares about until it breaks
