Part of it might have been the small Gamecube disks, but there's a LOT of devs that historically passed Nintendo for little reasons, or the "muh kiddy" argument
I think the one that makes me the maddest is Psychonauts, a game that would have went great with the Nintendo audience and probably would have been less hard to port than the freaking PS2 ver

@coolboymew @internetfreak @moth_ball Another part of it might have to deal with the development disaster of Body Harvest on the Nintendo 64 which was developed by DMA design who would later work on GTA. Nintendo told them to turn Body Harvest into an RPG and this sudden change nearly bankrupt the company.

@coolboymew @internetfreak @moth_ball Shit like that is why I don't blame third-parties for refusing to work with Nintendo. They have a track record of screwing devs over, especially western devs, but I think it might be mostly due to differences in work culture.
