@xianc78 "Minarchists of Left-Libertarians"
:blobfacepalm: Those would be the Bookchinite Municpalists, Georgists are more in the centre, since they support both collective and private property. I am more sympathetic to the Geo-libertarians as they're more uncompromising. Whenever i talk about the LVT with some leftists, they dismiss it completely and then <insert nirvana fallacy here>;
like it's a temporary tool, not a permanent thing. What's stopping people from de-urbanising and obtaining their own property is the monopoly and artificial inflation on land... here in Australia at least. The Monarchy has monopoly on our land and they make it impossible to apply the homesteading principle. The LVT can be a tool used to dismantle this.

i'm open to other suggestions.

@cee Okay. As a pragmatic approach, maybe. But as some permanent thing, hell no. The basic idea is "land should be owned by everyone, so we need a monopoly on arbitration on said land."
