@ChristiJunior @deadheat The “private company” argument goes out the window the moment you run a company that requires someone to have right wing social views, as to do so is “discriminatory” to minorities. As with all things, it’s a big smokescreen. I’m in total agreement that the government should enforce free thought on Big Tech, but bearing in mind that nobody in this thread controls the American government, what can we do aside from build alternatives from the ground up?

@NEETzsche @ChristiJunior @deadheat These companies work with the government on various surveillance programs. They will never regulate them. In fact most (if not all) of these companies were created by the government. Look up LifeLog, a DARPA project made to log the day to day life of individuals and it was cancelled the EXACT SAME DAY that Facebook launched.
Decentralization is the only option.
