Are governments really going to crack down on crypto because of the RUS-UKR shitshow?
@pjcyto It's going to severely cripple the crypto market though and if governments start forcing ISPs to block the protocols then agorists and crypto-anarchists will need to start creating black-market ISPs.
@xianc78 Yep. It will trickle it for sure. But, I'm betting that the strength of the security for crypto will greatly increase. Most of the alts will disappear, but the staples will solidify in a market standard. Right now, it's so fluid that anything still has the potential of dropping to oblivion.
No. They are going to crack down on it because Bitcoin threatens dollar hegemony.
Rus/Ukr is just this month's excuse. Last month it was global warming. Before that money laundering. Next month it'll be the nuclear winter or giant spiders or asteroids from space or whatever crazy end-of-the-world shit is going to happen next.
They will continue to try and ban it anytime an excuse they can use comes up.
If the attacks on Bitcoin don't make it stronger with each attack then the experiment has failed.
I dunno which way that'll go. Didn't really think it'd get this far.
@xianc78 They are going to attempt, or put up a big show. At this point, they should realize that removing crypto will be a lot like cleaning shit off a bankers Afghan Carpet. We'll spread around but never truly be gone.
