Why does our society put people who work in entertainment (i.e actors, musicians, athletes, etc.) on such a high pedestal? They are really bad influences and no sane person should ever look up to them.

@Zerglingman Are independent film festivals still a thing? Maybe there you can find film makers and actors worth supporting.

@xianc78 That seems like a reasonable comparison, which is why I do not recommend leaning in too hard. It is, ultimately, a single, centralised service.

In fact I've definitely come across minor productions like Skwerl and that Alice Springs Unicycle Club silent film (probably still up on vimeo).
