Unless you don't get along well with your parents, my advice is don't be in a hurry to leave. As long as your parents are ok with you hanging around a while longer (maybe work out a small rent), take the time to save up a bunch of money. It ain't like the old days when you could make enough for an ok pad on just any old job.

@icedquinn @cee @xianc78 My problem with the Military (and -- for the record, I was going to join the Army at one point, quite willingly, only a really good job offer came up just before) is that it really feels like the whole apparatus is about the elites fucking around in places they don't need to be. You aren't in control of your own destiny anymore, and your a pawn for someone else's.
