Under a section titled “State Sovereignty,” the platform states: “Pursuant to Article 1, Section 1, of the Texas Constitution, the federal government has impaired our right of local self-government. Therefore, federally mandated legislation that infringes upon the 10th Amendment rights of Texas should be ignored, opposed, refused, and nullified.

Holy based!

“Texas retains the right to secede from the United States, and the Texas Legislature should be called upon to pass a referendum consistent thereto.”

Referendum won’t do shit, but I love the idea of putting it back in people’s minds.

@agora_brewing @ademan Kinda brings up the whole idea of, what is a myth? What makes things real anymore?

If it's a "myth" that nation's can't break apart, we would still all be Babylonians or Egyptians. The implication is that the idea separation can happen under the current US legal framework is a myth. To some extent, that is true. But the only reason that is true, is because Georgia, Louisiana and a bunch of other States tried it, and lost.

I wonder how many people fled north during the war? How many fled south? I wonder how many people have moved in the past two years?

@djsumdog @ademan @agora_brewing Then the solution isn't secession. Instead we should create new nations/societies on the ocean via Seasteading or on terra nullus like what Liberland is doing.
