If you run a small business, organization, etc, PLEASE get an actual website and not some Facebook page. You are just turning away any potential customers, members, etc by locking your visibility by a Facebook login screen.
All you need is a simple static website that shows where you are located, what you are selling, how to contact you, etc. Simple HTML and CSS is not that hard. If you can't handle that, you can easily whip up something in a Word Processor (which I normally wouldn't condone but is much better than hosting your shit on Facebook). Just don't use shit like Wix or Squarespace which adds unnecessary big tech JS to your site.
It's silly when you think about it. "Here, let's put our corporate presence in the hands of some company with no obligation to treat us well."

Well at least some (bars e.g.) do update on google, a tiny minority on bing.
What seemingly nobody knows:
1. You can "edit" google
2. Bing is not fringe; many services use bing as the hidden DB
3. OSM is there too. Some services use this also. OSM IS fringe BUT those who use OSM tend to have a LOT of discretionary income (or none lol). Just the correct name and location of your business is enough.
The irony is that I noticed the more FB/Insta/Twatter-only they are the more lefty, alternative and obnoxious they tend to be.
@xianc78 I'm using shopify for now. But plan to build something in the future when I have more time to dedicate. I refuse to shell out advertising to big corps. I will admit that my art is spread out on various sites at the moment. The plan is the eventually be my own printing house.
For now, I do what I can to be decentralized and be away from the main systems. It's been 3 years since I've had a W2 job.
