In other WEF dystopian news, the WEF wants to fuck up the gaming industry. At least Nintendo doesn't seem on board with it.

@xianc78 As far as I'm aware the Switch is already quite energy efficient along with using the less wattage when sleeping
@coolboymew @xianc78 It's just a low power target, and the performance reflects that. It's an ancient SoC on 20nm (original) or 16nm (newer editions) node, using a 2014 GPU arch which is nowhere near as efficient as modern stuff. PS5 and XSX went insane with power limits but they use much much much more efficient SoCs under the hood, the rumored upcoming eco mode for Xbox will probably show that off.

>the WEF wants to fuck up the gaming industry.

I thought they already did that with the tranny nonsense in the gaming industry that infiltrated.
@xianc78 Stop gaming guys, we only have 15 years until we move the date when the world becomes uninhabitable another 15 years!!

@xianc78 fucking amazing how these types can clutch their pearls over the environmental impact of the consumer electronics item that has one of the longest service lives and lowest ewaste dump rates. An original Playstation still has market demand. Consoles stay in service for years after next generation release.

Pretty sure if it was an Apple product the article would be crowing about ease of recycling. After less than a year.
